was undertaken when this approach to services was generally unavailable

Family Education and Support
Including of family and caregivers and recognizing the value of their participation in care is
a hallmark of Pacific Clinics. Consumer classes, parenting and peer groups,
and Institute courses to help families understand and support their loved ones
have provided tools help illuminate the path to recovery. Spanish-speaking groups,
such as Familias Unidas, and educational materials in Spanish were groundbreaking
at a national and international level.
