Be they biological, foster, extended, multigenerational, or other caregivers, families
are essential to Pacific Clinics consumers' progress towards healing and recovery.
Education, involvement, and support programs help families gain a deeper
understanding of behavioral healthcare and the critical role they play in the dynamics
of recovery
for their loved ones. Many of Pacific Clinics' programs include family education and counseling components.
Services are coordinated at each location, regardless
of the consumer's age, through a single clinician. Family Services programs involve family
members as partners in the treatment of a relative or loved one. With consent
of adults,
this approach allows for issues to be discussed in the context of a "family consultation"
and provides the family with an opportunity to share observations and provide unique
insights for consumer care.
