What We Do: Internships

Pacific Clinics is nationally recognized for its leadership and forward-thinking approaches in behavioral healthcare services. A variety of educational opportunities are available through our Pacific Clinics Training Institute (PCTI) and its expert faculty for the agency’s consumers and staff, other professionals and students in the behavioral healthcare or related fields, and the general community seeking information and guidance on mental health issues. If you are a Pacific Clinics employee or consumer, many of our educational programs offered through the Pacific Clinics Training Institute are free.

A wide range of internships and advanced study opportunities are available at Pacific Clinics for students of psychology (with an APA-accredited program), social work, marriage and family therapy, and art therapy as well as for those seeking licensure to become a psychiatric technician. In addition, a paraprofessional Mental Health Worker course and field training program is offered in collaboration with two leading Southern California community colleges.

Behavioral health professionals seeking Continuing Education units can take advantage of Pacific Clinics faculty expertise through professional and affordable training courses and seminars, as well as classes and secure online educational services available in multiple subjects.

Pacific Clinics’ annual educational conferences include the spring Latino Conference and fall M.I.L.E.S. (Mental Health and Law Enforcement Systems) Conference. Another held every few years has focused on Spirituality and Mental Health.
