What We Do: Internships

Art Therapy / MFT

Especially effective with children and those with limited verbal ability, art therapy uses the creative process to resolve conflicts, develop interpersonal skills, manage behavior, reduce stress, increase self-esteem and achieve mental health awareness.

At Pacific Clinics, MFT trainees specializing in art therapy help consumers express their goals and develop a treatment plan by working in multi-disciplinary teams to integrate the visual arts with counseling and psychotherapy to assess and treat such conditions as anxiety, depression, substance abuse and psychosocial difficulties.
