What We Do: Internships

Psychology Internships

The Pacific Clinics Pre-doctoral Psychology Internship Program trains interns to provide community-based mental health services to people of all ages. Seasoned professionals from a broad range of disciplines guide the program, APA-accredited since 1988. We invite candidates enrolled in Ph.D. or Psy.D. graduate Psychology programs to apply, with a strong preference for those in APA-accredited clinical programs. The internship has been APA accredited since 1988 and is a member of the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC).

By the end of the training year, interns will achieve intermediate to advanced levels of expertise in each of the program’s eight competency areas:

  • Professionalism
  • Legal and Ethical Standards
  • Assessment and Diagnosis
  • Diversity
  • Intervention
  • Supervision/Consultation
  • Scientific Foundations and Research
  • Knowledge and Understanding of
    Community-Based Services

Two applications are required:
