Employment Services are important to clients who want to achieve the ability to work. At Pacific Clinics, these services are funded primarily by a small annual grant from the State Department of Rehabilitation. The CARF-accredited program offers most of its services at the Clinics’ family services outpatient sites, Intensive Community Services programs, clubhouses and wellness centers, and at the El Camino campus in Santa Fe Springs

Our Employment Services focus on jobs and job-readiness, such as going back to school or entering training programs, getting a GED or entering college. Volunteer activities that provide work experience are also encouraged.

Nationally, the average employment rate for persons receiving behavioral health services is 15% (this statistic includes treatment for all categories and levels of mental illness).  A 2011 Clinics survey revealed that 20% of consumers were employed or in school, an impressive number considering the high percentage of clients with severe and persistent types of mental illness.
