What We Do: Services
Families
Families are essential for healing and recovery, whether they are biological, foster, extended, multi-generational or incorporate other caregivers. Therefore, many of Pacific Clinics’ programs include family education and counseling components, with culturally appropriate programs for Asian, Latino, and Armenian families at our various locations.
Our Family Services outpatient model provides service through a single clinician for consumers of all ages. Family members act as partners in the treatment of a relative or loved one. This allows issues to be discussed as a “family consultation” and allows the family to share observations and provide unique insights for consumer care.
Also relevant to families, we offer the Family Preservation program in collaboration with the LA County Department of Children and Family Services, the Family Education Lecture Series (in Pasadena), the Mental Health Worker Course (in Pasadena and Santa Ana) and various conferences, courses, books and videos through our Training Institute.
URDC: Linking Medical Services with Mental Health/Substance Abuse Care
URDC Human Services Corporation, a more than 15-year-old Pasadena-based non-profit now affiliated with Pacific Clinics, provides health, social, and human services to low income or indigent adults and their children. Supported through agency collaborations, URDC's programs include the Bill Moore Community Health Clinic, a primary health care clinic at which Pacific Clinics consumers can access basic medical care; CHOICES, a comprehensive peri-natal substance abuse treatment program; and Casa Maria, a transitional housing program. Funding for these programs is provided by the state and federal governments, corporate and foundation grants, and individual donations.
