Jim Balla is chief executive officer of Pacific Clinics, a Southern California community-based behavioral health nonprofit agency that provides mental health treatment and supportive services to over 22,200 individuals each year. The agency also provides early education services in several underserved communities through its Head Start and Early Head Start programs. With more than 35 years of executive management experience, Jim oversees the agency’s staff of 1,150 and operating budget of nearly $110 million. Jim earned his Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science degrees from Pepperdine University. In 2017, he was named to Pepperdine’s 40 over 40 Alumnus list and in 2018, he received the prestigious George Award, honoring his superior business skills and entrepreneurial spirit. Jim has served on the national Board of Directors of Unemployment Services Trust and is Chair of the Board of Directors of Quality Comp, Inc. providing services in California. Prior to the beginning of his career, Jim completed a tour of duty in the U.S. Marine Corps where he received a Secretary of Navy commendation for distinguished services in the Judge Advocate General Corps Division.
