Pacific Clinics regularly bestows the Champion of Mental Health® Award, one of the agency’s highest honors, to recognize courageous trailblazers who help to reduce stigma and encourage others to speak out about mental health and seek treatment by sharing their stories and for their many contributions to improve the lives of people living with mental illness. Like the flame in our award, their work lights the way for everyone to achieve healthier, more fulfilling lives.
The Champions of Mental Health Award is a brilliant black-and-gold flame encased in glass as a tribute to their advocacy and the light they shine on mental health awareness. The gold represents their achievements and the hope that we will succeed in ending mental health stigma.
Black combines all colors and symbolizes the many voices of mental health advocates coming together to impact one goal: improving mental wellness for all. Black represents the strength of our collective efforts and the power of our unity. The glass material of the award signifies the reflection required for many in their mental health journey and the clarity that comes from learning coping strategies through mental health treatment.
