One of Pacific Clinics’ promises to our clients and families is to offer unique individualized, culturally respectful and unconditionally welcoming services and spaces. To that end, our LGBTQ+ Education Advancement and Development of Services (LEADS) Network, a resource group led by employees of Pacific Clinics, dedicated to inclusive and affirmative LGBTQ+ services, conducted employee and client surveys assessing the quality of services for Pacific Clinics LGBTQ+ clients. As a result, we want to understand our clients’ experiences to better support our ability to treat them holistically by capturing their sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression (SOGIE) information.

Additionally, we acknowledge the importance of working with our clients and their families in their primary language. To assist in the process of addressing SOGIE in other languages, please see the following resources:
- Honeycomb Hideout: Chinese, Vietnamese, Burmese
- Human Rights Campaign: Spanish
- National Immigrant Justice Center: Arabic
As clinicians, peer partners and other care team members, you might also consider noting if the client wants this information included in their electronic health record (EHR) or, in the case of minors, wants it shared with family members or caretakers.
