The Inland Empire Region encompasses San Bernardino and Riverside counties. Almost two-thirds of the population is of Hispanic background and one-third speaks Spanish at home.
Poverty and crime rates are high here, and we typically address both mental health and basic needs, such as food and clothing, with our families. The biggest behavioral health needs include access to services, recovery from trauma and abuse, substance abuse and behavioral issues.
About 90 percent of the youth we serve are in foster care or on probation. Our work is to provide preventative care and address the origins of juvenile delinquency, drug use and child abuse via intervention and/or treatment.
