Uplift Family Services is partnering with the Sacramento Police Department and local volunteers to bring joy to children in the Sacramento area through its 41st annual Foster Santa program.
On December 8, 2016, Sacramento Police Department bike patrol officers and police recruits, along with volunteers from the Sacramento Wheelmen rallied to build 300 bicycles for foster children. The room resembled Santa’s workshop as volunteers worked tirelessly to assemble the bikes.
Throughout December, Sacramento police officers and Uplift Family Services staff members will distribute the bikes to children who may have thought Santa had forgotten them.
