Service Delivery Principles
We partner with our clients to explore their unique cultural needs and support systems to support their treatment and recovery process. Our knowledge, experience, and mutual goals enhance their journey of healing.
Team-Based and Collaborative
The team consists of individuals selected by the client, including family, natural and community supports, peer support, formal supports and service providers. Team members exercise shared decision-making power and transparency in developing, implementing and evaluating an action plan that blends team members’ perspectives.
All team members identify, build on and enhance the capabilities, knowledge, skills and assets of the individuals, their support systems and their community. Team interactions demonstrate appreciation for each member and their support abilities.
Culturally Respectful and Relevant
We deliver responsive, appropriate services that honor and welcome the values, preferences, beliefs, languages and racial and cultural identities of the individuals and communities we serve.
Individualized and Needs Driven
The unique and comprehensive plan for treatment is built on the client’s strengths and includes strategies, services and supports driven by the underlying needs and aspirations of the client. We engage the client’s family, community and other support networks in the client’s treatment and recovery. The plan identifies and meets the client’s complex needs across life domains to promote success, safety and permanency in the home, school, workplace and community.
Welcoming and Unconditional
Every client is unique, and at Pacific Clinics, we celebrate those differences and provide services to support our clients. Complexity is an expectation, not an exception, for the children, youth, adults and families we serve. The team embraces and unconditionally works with our clients toward achieving their hope-filled goals, regardless of their needs, circumstances, physical mobility, racial and ethnic background, culture, legal status, gender, sexual orientation, age, religious faith and economic status. We are committed to respect, dignity and integrity for all.
The voice and choice of the individual – child, youth, adult and family/natural support system is highly valued in all decisions. Everyone’s perspective is emphasized in the services they receive and is reflected in the agency’s policies and practices.
Trauma-Informed and Resiliency Oriented
We recognize the prevalence of trauma and its potential impact on those we serve and ourselves. We understand the importance of secure, calm and predictable environments. We take a resilience-oriented approach, building on the strengths within all of us. We strive to achieve authentic, trusting, healing relationships with those we serve and among our fellow employees.
The team inspires hope for those we serve by inquiring about hopes and dreams, reframing experiences, setting goals, supporting change and praising accomplishments.
Research and Data-Driven
We’re committed to using innovative research methods and technologies to elevate client voices and inform excellence in service. The goal of our research and analytics work is to empower clinicians, clients and programs to be curious about successes, to identify needs and to ensure person-centered care.
Transforming California’s System Of Care For 150 Years
Transforming California's System of Care for 150 Years
Pacific Clinics has evolved over 150 years to deliver the most visionary behavioral health services to California's children and their families. We began in 1867 as Eastfield Home of Benevolence, a San Jose orphanage, and Ming Quong Home, an orphanage for neglected and abandoned Chinese girls. In 1880, Hollygrove was founded in downtown Los Angeles as the Los Angeles Orphans Home Society.
Today, we are one of the most comprehensive, innovative, family-centered treatment programs providing services to more than 35,000 children and their families annually throughout 12 counties in California.
