Community is everything. The people and places that surround your child are their whole world. Their surroundings can make a huge difference in their mental and behavioral health. Sometimes, they need a little extra support. That’s where our intensive community-based services come in.

Our Community-Based Services

Our integrated care approach means that our services go beyond the experiences of an individual person. Every client is a part of a larger community that affects how they understand and move through the world. That’s why we support not just individuals, but communities, as well.

Everyone deserves access to the health services they need. When this need isn’t met, entire communities suffer. Our intensive community outreach services aim to fill this gap. We offer the following services to children and families who need intensive behavioral health support.

• Wraparound: Services that support families and children with complex behavioral needs, aiming to keep them together
• Family Search and Engagement: A service supporting skill-building with families to form strong and positive connections
• Drug Court: An intervention program for juveniles on probation for drug charges to help them stay clean and sober
• Therapeutic Behavioral Services: Outpatient services that help children, families and caregivers learn how to adjust to new situations with positive behaviors
• Placement Supportive Services: Therapeutic treatment and crisis stabilization services for children, youth and non-minor dependents

These services, which focus on building on children’s existing strengths, showing the importance of family and finding the child’s voice, are offered at home, in the community or at school.

What Is Wraparound?

Wraparound is one of our many intensive community-based outreach services. We give high-risk children and families the resources they need to be safe and stay living at home, within their community and network of support.

We believe in keeping families together. Family and community are extremely important to a child’s mental and behavioral well-being.

Wraparound meets complex needs through family-centered, individualized services. Mental or behavioral challenges affect every part of a child’s life.

We offer tools to children and their caregivers to support growth, including:

• Individual therapy;
• Family therapy;
• Caregiver training;
• Behavior support;
• Classroom consultation; and
• Case management.

Who Does Community-Based Services Serve?

Pacific Clinics serves individuals and communities in need.

We serve:

• School campuses
• County education programs
• Non-public schools
• Individual students

To be eligible for intensive community outreach services, a student needs:

• An individualized education plan (IEP);
• Medi-Cal insurance;
• A mental health diagnosis; or
• A referral from the local Children’s Services or Juvenile Probation departments.
