Prevention Programs For All Ages

Our PEI program uses quick, effective early intervention strategies to reduce the impact of substance use and behavioral challenges in the communities we serve.

Our team and community partners work in a variety of settings to prevent the escalation of emotional and behavioral challenges.

Early intervention services may include:

• Individual therapy
• Behavioral support
• Parent coaching and workshops

Youth and Parent Development For Teens

As part of the PEI, we offer a youth and parent development program, which is an excellent fit for high school students taking English as a Second Language (ESL) classes since it aims to integrate students into cultural, social and school systems. Within this portion of the program, teenagers enjoy a supportive environment in which to enhance their communication skills, manage stress, and boost self-esteem. They come away with a better understanding of their values.

Our team at Pacific Clinics may also recommend additional programs based on the parents’ needs. On the parents’ side, we offer practical, value-packed classes in a friendly environment, such as:

• Strengthening Families Program: Focuses on parenting skills, family resilience, social skills, and healthy family interactions.
• Triple P Positive Parenting Program: Offers parents a robust skill set for well-balanced emotional and social communication with their children.
• All American Family Enhancement Network: Teaches caregivers how to reduce conflict and build family relationships.

The IMPACT Program

The Inspire and Mobilize People to Achieve Change Together (IMPACT) program involves a no-cost youth leadership initiative at the Asian Pacific Family Center in San Gabriel Valley, Los Angeles. It targets 12 to 18-year-olds via a well-rounded program that aims to help children and teens with the following:

• Empowering them and providing peer support
• Protecting them from substance use
• Developing their leadership skills
• Giving them a chance to volunteer and make a positive impact

Beyond one-on-one and group support, IMPACT also connects families with food and housing assistance programs, with Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean and Vietnamese translations.
