Our Hollygrove Programs include privately funded services that enhance community wellness in our Los Angeles community. These programs are designed to strengthen both children and their parents by enriching their knowledge, supporting skill development, and building emotional bonds that last a lifetime. Our innovative services extend the reach of our publicly funded programs, seek to address the needs of the family before problems take hold, and are offered at no charge.
Hollygrove Haven
Hollygrove Haven (formerly called Endless Summer) is a 5-day per week therapeutic program for children ages 6 to 12. It focuses on understanding and addressing the underlying social and emotional needs of a child struggling academically in school. The program is designed to enhance social emotional learning through a project-based learning approach. This allows children to learn academic concepts through development of social and communication skills, artistic expression, movement and sports. In collaboration with teacher and parents, Hollygrove Haven connects the child and family to further supports in the school and community which, when needed, includes mental health services.
Camp Hollygrove
Camp Hollygrove is a week-long therapeutic day camp for children and adolescents ages 6 to 17 offered during summer vacation and school breaks with a wide range of engaging activities. For instance, activities challenge children to explore their strengths, find different ways to learn, understand the meaning of teamwork, define their values, and give back to the community. Both Hollygrove Haven and Camp Hollygrove target children who need specialized attention due to emotional and behavioral challenges that interfere with academic performance.
“I get to hang out with my friends, get to learn new things that I’ve never done.”

Parent Institute
Parent Institute is a safe place for parents to learn and grow. The foundation of our program is utilizing the research-based Strengthening Families’ Five Protective Factors Framework. Parents gain knowledge, connect with a social network, and build capacity to strengthen their family and community. Most importantly, the program supports optimal child development and reduces the likelihood of child abuse and neglect. Parents gain knowledge and confidence in their own abilities through workshops and support groups. We provide childcare to allow the parents freedom to fully engage in learning. Children engage with their own activities to enhance social-emotional growth while their parents are in Parent Institute. Extending its reach into other community venues, the Parent Institute also offers Making Parenting a Pleasure. This specialized curriculum focuses on the importance of bonding, early intervention and setting the stage for lifelong learning for children ages 0-5.
“I stand here today empowered to take on another day to change the course of my future and that of my children.”

We Need Your Help
Our Hollygrove Program is privately funded. This means that we rely on the incredible generosity of our donors to keep these life-changing programs running strong. We help more than 2,500 children and their family members in Hollywood and South Los Angeles each year. However, the need for services is still high. Funding gaps leave our innovative programs underfunded and, as a result, many of our most vulnerable children without help. With just $25, $50, or $100, you too can make a tangible difference in your community. Join our amazing group of donors and donate today!
