At Pacific Clinics Training Institute (PCTI), we offer a range of customized training for behavioral health care workers, aligned industries and community members. We have trained more than 20,000 individuals throughout various community sectors. Grow your skills and learn from instructors with real-world experience.
Join our virtual classroom. In this training, you’ll attend live webinars and discussions, complete self-paced training modules, and work in small-group coaching sessions. You will also attend supervisor briefings. Learn the 17 core competencies that set you up to become a Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist.
In this in-person training, you’ll learn how to reach out to and interact with people who are unhoused to help you earn a Housing Specialist Certification. Experienced instructors teach you practical methods to help reduce substance use and increase the success of their mental health care.
In this course by PCTI and the Univeristy of Southern California’s (USC) School of Social Work, you’ll earn credits to become a Health Navigator, working with clients to teach them the skills to navigate the health care system.

PCTI offers quarterly certification courses that require interested individuals to complete an application. Interested participants must register online at least 3 business days (72 hours) (excluding Saturday, Sunday and federal and state holidays) before the training start date. Yes! The PC Peer Careers Program is a grant-funded program that provides an array of services at no cost to eligible participants. It is an opportunity for those interested in pursuing a career as a Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist to attend our 80-hour training course for free as well as other services, such as: career counseling and planning, exam preparation, mentoring, resume assistance and job placement services (if needed).
If individuals are interested in attending the course for free or receiving any of the other supportive services, we invite them to apply for the PC Peer Careers Program as soon as possible.

Pacific Clinic will occasionally offer free trainings for the community. Check the schedule for available courses.
Once an applicant completes the zoom registration, they will receive an email directly from zoom with a personalized link. Please do not share the link with others and save the invite on your calendar for easy access.
Most of our courses are held virtually; however, select courses are held in person. Please defer to the course description to see where the course will take place.
Participants must be able to login using a desktop/laptop/iPad/tablet and have access to the Zoom application. Participants must have internet access and must be able to access a camera and microphone for the purpose of training participation.
Before purchasing/enrolling, participants must ensure that they understand the technical requirements and have appropriate online access.
Training cancellation and scheduling changes may occur. In this event, Pacific Clinics will refund the program registration fee but is not responsible for travel expenses (if any). Pacific Clinics works hard to ensure there are no changes to the schedules because we value participants, their time, and the efforts they make to attend and plan for training. There are times that events beyond our control occur. Pacific Clinics reserves the right to cancel or postpone the training program due to unforeseen circumstances. In those cases, Pacific Clinics reserves the right to take the following actions:
Those affected by such an action will be notified as soon as possible after the change has been made via email. Should Pacific Clinics cancel a training due to low enrollment or some unexpected event, registrants who have paid for the training in advance will have the choice to receive a full refund or credit for a future scheduled training.
Courses that offer continuing education credits will be advertised depending on course content. Please refer to the course description to see if the course you’re enrolled in qualifies for CE credits.
Certified Peers: Pacific Clinics is an approved CalMHSA training provider.
Psychologists: Pacific Clinics is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Pacific Clinics maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
RN, PT Credit: Pacific Clinics is a California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #CEP11979, for contact hours (BRN).
LMFT, LPCC, LEP and/or LCSW Credit: Pacific Clinics (Provider # 1000080) is approved by the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists to sponsor continuing education for LMFT’s, LCSW’s, LPCC’s and LEP’s. Pacific Clinics maintains responsibility for the program and all its content.
California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals (CCAPP-EI): Pacific Clinics is a California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals (CCAPP-EI), Provider #4S-94-282-1123, for continuing education hours (CEH’s) (formerly known as CFAAP/CAADAC).
California Association of Alcohol/Drug Educators (CAADE): Pacific Clinics is an approved California Association of Alcohol/Drug Educators Provider #CP40 974 C 1224, for continuing education hours (CEH’s) (CAADE).
Process: Accommodations may be requested in writing by answering the “Special Accommodations Needed” question on the application. Participants may request accommodations by emailing PCTI@pacificclinics.org or by speaking to a dept. representative.
Timeframe to make the request: Accommodations will be addressed immediately and, on a case-by-case basis; however, please allow a max of 5 business days to accommodate any requests.
Training registrants must email PCTI@pacificclinics.org at least 3 business days (72 hours) prior to the start of the training to receive a full refund (if applicable.)
Registrants who do not cancel or transfer within the given timeframe, or do not attend the course, will not receive a refund. Must cancel at least 3 business days (72 hours) prior to training start date. If cancellation is made within less than 72 hours prior to the start of the training, registrants are responsible for a $100 administrative fee. (Exceptions can be made for extenuating circumstances)
Refunds are credited in the same form of payment within 30 days. Credit for future scheduled training may be provided as an option if desired.
If students wish to process a formal grievance, they must email PCTI@pacificclinics.org or call the Director at 626-802-8391. Additionally, an evaluation survey is administered within 48 hours post the training completion and students can input concerns and submit their contact information if they wish to be contacted. Student feedback is taken seriously and will be reviewed and shared with trainers.
