On Mental Health Action Day, recognized on May 15 of this year, CBS News invited Pacific Clinics’ Elyse Malcolm, program manager for the Trusted Response Urgent Support Team (TRUST), to join the morning news. During the segment, they discussed why TRUST is an important alternative to law enforcement within the scope of non-violent mental health challenges, and how people can help advocate for TRUST and other programs like it.
