Support Services offer various programs to address social determinants of health, including housing and employment coaching and placement, among other critically needed services.
The Capital Region’s Transitional Housing Programs (THP) support young people transitioning out of foster care or juvenile probation by providing life skills coaching, essentials, and safe housing. Through one-on-one training and mentorship, THP helps clients work toward independence, fostering academic or employment success and lasting family connections. We accept referrals from any county in California.
The goal of each of the Capital Region’s Transitional Housing Programs (THP) is to provide support to those transitioning out of foster care or juvenile probation, and assist in their journey to independence by providing life skills coaching, basic necessities and more, all in a safe, housed environment.
Each client is served through one-on-one training in shared housing units leased by our organization while having the support of supervision, mentoring and a safety net while they work toward academic or employment goals.
Along with coaching life skills for successful living after emancipation, we assist clients in establishing and maintaining lifelong connections with family members or families of choice.
Minor Parents in Foster Care or Juvenile Probation (Ages 16-17)
This program assists those from any county in California who are pregnant or parenting or have specific needs that can be met while living in shared housing under our care and supervision.
Former Juvenile Probation or Former Foster Youth (Ages 18 to 25)
This program is for youth no longer in the system and offers case management and
independent living skills coaching.
Non-Minor Dependents in Foster Care or Juvenile Probation (Ages 18 to 20)
The program provides a range of supportive services, living skills training and case
management to clients while living in shared housing units. Non-minor parents from any county in California may apply.
Our team provides individualized, strength-based trauma-informed care driven by the client’s voice and choice and on respecting the unique background and aspirations of each person.
