Pete Weldy, CEO of the California Alliance, praised Kathy’s leadership, saying, “Few leaders understand the connection of law, policy and human services like Kathy McCarthy. Her decades of legal experience and her deep commitment to equity and service to our most vulnerable communities make her the ideal person to advance the CA Alliance’s mission, particularly during this time of considerable uncertainty. She understands how legislation directly impacts children and families and the non-profit organizations that serve them. I’m thrilled to welcome Kathy to this new role.”
“Stepping into the role of Board President is a privilege. I look forward to partnering with leaders, members and advocates to create a brighter and healthier California,” said Kathy. “By fostering strong collaborations between policymakers, service providers and communities, I am hopeful Californians will have the support they need and deserve.”
As Kathy steps into her new role, she is committed to ensuring that the California Alliance remains a powerful advocate for change.
