Educational Programs

Educational Programs provide students with the skills they need to live successful lives. Our robust programs include early childhood development, classroom consultations in partnership with school districts, adult continuing education programs and parent workshops.

Support Services

Support Services offer various programs to address social determinants of health, including housing and employment coaching and placement, among other critically needed services.

More than 75 community members, donors and partners recently gathered to celebrate the grand opening of Pacific Clinics’ new Family Resource Center (FRC) at 590 W. El Camino Real in Mountain View.

Hosted by Pacific Clinics program leadership and employees, the open house featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony and the opportunity to explore the space, which is designed to support families with young children through free parenting resources, counseling and community programming.

During the event, attendees heard from Clinical Director Shawheen Sharafi, FRC Program Supervisor Angelica Perez-Garcia and Senior Director of Development Darren DeMonsi, who highlighted the vision behind the center, as well as a client speaker who shared her personal story of how the FRC helped during a time of great need, and how it continues to make a difference in her life.

“Pacific Clinics is honored to continue CHAC’s proud legacy while expanding services in North County. With the opening of our Mountain View Family Resource Center, we are ensuring children, youth and families have access to trusted, high-quality support for generations to come,” said DeMonsi.

Families remained well into the evening, with some already signing up to visit the FRC’s Family Shop, where they can pick up a variety of essential items such as clothing, bedding, towels, blankets, toiletries, diapers and wipes, and even toys and books.

A Community Hub for Families

The Family Resource Center offers a safe, inclusive space for families and caregivers. It serves as a hub where families — particularly those with infants and young children — can access:

  • Parenting workshops
  • Counseling services
  • Community events
  • Referrals to essential social services

The center’s goal is to strengthen family well-being and provide a supportive network during early childhood.

Creating a Space with Care and Intention

Thanks to Rotary Club of Cupertino’s generous grant to purchase supplies and their unwavering support assembling furniture and setting up a reading nook, play zone and infant area, we were able to transform a simple room into a welcoming, functional and inclusive environment for the families we serve.

“Cupertino Rotarians supported the Family Resource Center because we believe every family deserves a strong foundation and opportunities to build a brighter future,” said one Rotarian. “It is our privilege to be of service to our community.”

We are also grateful for St. Andrew’s Echo Shop that provided a $5,000 grant in support of bringing this new FRC to life, and the Happy Dragon Thrift Shop, whose volunteers helped build the Family Shop, a key feature of the FRC.

Finally, we would like to thank our special guests: former CHAC Board Members George Tyson, Sandy Bergen and Laura Blakeley, Board of Directors member Roger and Dottie Barney, Community Leadership Board Member Caryl Pozos, EMQ Auxiliary volunteers Doris Beccia and Cynthia Lee, Happy Dragon volunteer Arleta Lindley, Rotary Club of Cupertino’s Shyamoli Banerjee and St. Andrew’s Echo Shop’s Donna Valentine.
