Educational Programs

Educational Programs provide students with the skills they need to live successful lives. Our robust programs include early childhood development, classroom consultations in partnership with school districts, adult continuing education programs and parent workshops.

Support Services

Support Services offer various programs to address social determinants of health, including housing and employment coaching and placement, among other critically needed services.

At their annual luncheon, Happy Dragon Thrift Shop volunteers celebrated a year of dedication and hard work and presented Darrell Evora, president and CEO of EMQ FamiliesFirst with a bonus check of $100,000.

Carol Megas, outgoing president, was honored for her two terms in office, and Happy Dragon board members were acknowledged for their many hours of service. Outgoing board members include Collette Lynner, Marcia Burkhart, Linda Svrcek, Nadine Chandler, Geri Miller, Doc Hamilton, Michelle Jenny, Ann Schwarzmann and Carolyn Hamilton. Thanks to these volunteers, our kids and families receive much-needed support.

A big congratulations goes to the incoming board: Collette Lynner (president), Phyllis Dieter, Linda Svrcek, Grace Fleming, Judi Coffman, Jane Fazzari, Doc Hamilton, Betsy Rowe, Michelle Jenny and Carol Megas.

The Happy Dragon Thrift Shop is located at 245 West Main Street in Los Gatos and is open Monday through Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The thrift shop is known around Los Gatos as a treasure trove of vintage clothing, housewares, jewelry, collectibles and much more! All proceeds benefit the children and families served by EMQ FamiliesFirst. Volunteers are always welcome!
