LOS ANGELES, CA, December 9, 2020 – Uplift Family Services is pleased to welcome Alison Raitt, who has joined the agency as the new Director of Fund Development for the Los Angeles region.

In this position, she will manage current fundraising programs in the region, as well as implement new strategies to increase awareness and support in the market area.

“We are delighted to have Alison on board,” said Vice President of Fund Development and Marketing Lisa Alegria. “Alison’s breadth of nonprofit experience, relationships within the Los Angeles community, and fresh vision makes her the perfect advocate for our mission and our agency.”

Raitt comes to Uplift Family Services with more than 17 years’ experience in the nonprofit industry, in both the education and healthcare sectors. Most recently at Oakwood School, she also provided philanthropic support by raising needed funds for the American Diabetes Association, The Willows Community School, and The ALS Association.

“I passionately believe that every child has the right to equal access and advantage throughout their upbringing. To that end, I am honored and excited to contribute to a mission-driven team who is committed to improving the lives of children within Los Angeles and the surrounding region,” said Raitt.

Raitt holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications with an emphasis on journalism and public relations from Stephen’s College in Columbia, Mo. She currently resides in Los Angeles’ Westside and enjoys spending her free time outdoors with her dog. She loves running and cycling and is a Team USA athlete in the sport of the duathlon (run/bike/run).
