Educational Programs provide students with the skills they need to live successful lives. Our robust programs include early childhood development, classroom consultations in partnership with school districts, adult continuing education programs and parent workshops.

Support Services

Support Services offer various programs to address social determinants of health, including housing and employment coaching and placement, among other critically needed services.

What We Offer

Our team of certified employment specialists uses the evidence-based Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model, which integrates vocational services with behavioral health treatment.

We serve clients enrolled in Pacific Clinics programs across the Greater Angeles area, Ventura County and Fresno County. As part of their mental health journey, clients can be referred to our client career services for personalized employment support.

Whether a client is seeking their first job, returning to the workforce, or exploring new career paths, we provide compassionate guidance every step of the way.

Jobs anyone can apply for, pay at least minimum wage/same pay as coworkers with similar duties, and have no artificial time limits imposed by the social service agency.

Employment specialists systematically visit employers, who are selected based on the job seeker’s preferences, to learn about their business needs and hiring preferences.

Rapid Job Search

Rapid Job Search

IPS programs use a rapid job search approach to help job seekers obtain jobs rather than assessments, training, & counseling. The first face to face contact with the employer occurs within 30 days.

Integrated Services

Integrated Services

IPS programs are integrated with mental health treatment teams. Employment specialists attach to 1 or 2 mental health treatment teams, which discuss their caseload.

Benefits Planning

Employment specialists help people obtain personalized, understandable, and accurate information about their Social Security, Medicaid, and other government entitlements.

Zero Exclusion

Zero Exclusion

People are not excluded on the basis of readiness, diagnoses, symptoms, substance use history, psychiatric hospitalizations, homelessness, level of disability, or legal system involvement.

Time-Unlimited Supports

Time-Unlimited Supports

Job supports are individualized and continue for as long as each worker wants and needs the support. Employment Specialist have face to face contact at least monthly.

IPS program services are based on each job seeker’s preferences and choices rather than the employment specialist’s and supervisor’s judgments.
“Ana was assigned to be my Employment Specialist and since our first appointment I knew I would be receiving great support. Ana has been flexible when I have not been able to make appointments as scheduled and has been a someone that consistently provides hope and motivation. During our job development appointments, she helped me with selecting employment opportunities that fit my work experience. She provided great network opportunities such as referring me to CalMHSA Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialists training program where I was able to receive a certificate. Ana ensured I was well prepared for interviews by practicing mock interviews and provided feedback that helped me feel confident and prepared. There were times when I felt disappointed because I was not selected for positions I interviewed for, and Ana maintained a positive attitude providing ongoing encouragement which helped me stay focused and persistent in my job search. This week I accepted a job offer and Ana spent extra time with me to assist me with onboarding. Ana connected me to resources that helped me purchase new clothing, shoes and accessories I will need for my new job. She has been instrumental in me gaining new employment. She coached and encouraged me through the entire hiring process. I feel very fortunate to have Ana as my Employment Specialist because she helped me believe in my potential for growth and success.

Employment as a Mental Health Intervention

As a proud partner of the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (DMH)’s Hollywood 2.0 pilot program, we will provide employment services to those living with severe mental illness and unhoused. Based on a model out of Trieste, Italy, compassionate, community-centered care by psychiatrists, case workers, nurses and community members, Hollywood 2.0 will bring much hope and recovery.

We view employment not just as a job, but as a powerful form of mental health intervention. Our approach helps individuals gain confidence, stability, and purpose while fostering independence and community integration.
