Are you interested in learning more about Pacific Clinics’ rich history in the Bay Area region? Join us on Thursday, May 19 from 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. for a one-of-a-kind virtual webinar where you’ll hear from former residents of the historic Ming Quong Home.

In 1934, the Ming Quong Home in Los Gatos was established as a safe haven for Chinese, Chinese-American and Chinese bi-racial girls who, for a variety of reasons, needed a safe place apart from their families. Fast forward to 1987, Ming Quong Home in Los Gatos merged with the Eastfield Children’s Home and became Eastfield Ming Quong (EMQ) Children and Family Services – then EMQ FamiliesFirst, Uplift Family Services and now, Pacific Clinics. Today, the alumnae of Ming Quong Home have an extended family and a network of support in one another and work together to preserve their history and correct historical misinformation about the home.

In partnership with New Museum Los Gatos (NUMU), we’re honored to have these individuals share their stories, reminisce about what it was like living and growing up in Los Gatos and reflect on the impact Ming Quong had on their lives.
