The early years of a child’s life are crucial to their growth and development. That’s why Pacific Clinics developed the Family Supports Initiative (FSI) in the Inland Empire.

The FSI program is a self-referred and dedicated initiative that provides comprehensive support to children ages 0 to 5 and their families. The program’s purpose is to empower families, foster healthy development and build a foundation for lifelong well-being.

The program offers a range of essential services, both in person and virtually, in English and Spanish, to ensure that many families have access to the support they need.

The First 5 program provides:

  1. Developmental Screenings

Early detection is key to ensuring every child reaches their full potential. Through its developmental screenings, the program identifies milestones related to both developmental and social-emotional growth. Early intervention allows the program to provide the necessary support and resources that help children thrive.

  1. Case Management Services

Navigating the world of resources and services can be overwhelming. Therefore, the case management team works closely with families to offer personalized assistance to help them access tailored services that meet their unique needs. Whether it’s connecting families with community resources or understanding the best paths forward, the program helps every step of the way.

  1. Parenting Education Classes

A child’s well-being is directly related to the health and support of the caregivers. That’s why the program offers parenting education classes to empower caregivers with the knowledge and strategies necessary to nurture both mental and emotional health. These classes help parents and caregivers build a strong, healthy foundation for their children’s future.

Candy Curiel, senior clinical director, said, “The First 5 Program is crucial in providing early support to children and families and setting them up for long-term success.”

If you would like to participate, no referrals are needed, and walk-ins are okay.

The program is located at 572 North Arrowhead Avenue, Suite 100, San Bernardino, CA 92401
