For the Mental Health Corporation of America Conference held in Scottsdale, Arizona, Pacific Clinics’ Chief Operations Officer Shawn M. Caracoza and Regional Executive Director, Bay Area Don Taylor presented on, “Intensive Community Based Services: How Focus on Needs & Values Led to Change and Quality.”

Their presentation covered Pacific Clinics’ shift from children’s residential services to community-based Wraparound, to current comprehensive complex care models for youth. Additionally, they discussed community-based alternatives and intensive foster care programs.

Pacific Clinics brought the philosophy and programming of Wraparound to Santa Clara County and eventually to the entire state of California as a vehicle to reform and change the way children with behavioral health challenges were provided services.

The conference took place October 23-25, 2023.
