Health Navigators empower clients with serious mental illness to self-manage their physical healthcare and wellness needs.

Pacific Clinics Training Institute’s (PCTI) Health Navigation Certification Training Program is designed to train the behavioral health workforce—mental health peers, paraprofessionals, case managers, family members, and professionals—to help clients “navigate” the physical health care system and thereby improve their health outcomes and life expectancy.

The Health Navigator Certification Training Program is conducted in collaboration with the University of Southern California’s Dworak-Peck School of Social Work. PCTI is the only approved training provider of this certification.
