Educational Programs provide students with the skills they need to live successful lives. Our robust programs include early childhood development, classroom consultations in partnership with school districts, adult continuing education programs and parent workshops.
Support Services

Support Services offer various programs to address social determinants of health, including housing and employment coaching and placement, among other critically needed services.

CAMPBELL, CA, March 25, 2020 – Kathryn Meier McCarthy has been named the new President of Uplift Family Services.

With this planned expansion of her current role, McCarthy will lead all internal operations, overseeing Clinical Operations, Finance, IT, Human Resources, Research, Outcomes and Evaluations, Quality, Learning & Development, Physical Plant Operations, Compliance, and all legal and regulatory issues for the agency.

Together alongside CEO Darrell Evora, they will share leadership of the agency.

“Kathy has a successful history of visionary leadership overseeing a very diverse staff,” said Evora. “This role expansion is well deserved and will serve our shared mission well into the future.”

Kathryn McCarthy joined Uplift Family Services in 2010 following 26 years in private legal practice, 21 of which were with Hoge, Fenton Jones & Appel, Inc. of San Jose, where she last served as Managing Shareholder. McCarthy has held various roles at the agency over the last decade, including Chief Legal Counsel, Chief Administrative Officer, and Chief Operating Officer/General Counsel.

She is a member of the Santa Clara County Bar Association, where she previously served in numerous leadership roles, including president. She is a Senior Fellow with American Leadership Forum, Silicon Valley, having previously served as Chair of its Board of Directors. She was also Chair of the Board of Trustees for The Health Trust, and served on the Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce and as a board member of the Santa Clara School of Law Board of Visitors. In addition, she was awarded a Woman of Influence Award by the Silicon Valley Business Journal.

McCarthy currently resides in El Dorado Hills, and works out of Uplift Family Services’ Sacramento office.
