Pacific Clinics wanted to answer a major question in California’s behavioral health system: Are the state’s investments creating a coordinated crisis system, or just adding more individual services without connecting them? To find out, Pacific Clinics’ director of data analytics and innovation Kristopher Stevens, executive director, healthcare business Garret Zabel and executive director, SVP, clinical strategy Amy Ley Sanchez interviewed 31 key people from community organizations, industry groups, and advocacy leaders involved in California’s crisis system. They then compared what they learned with state reports, published research, and public data.
