Agentic AI has taken the world by storm, and in the Diginomica article, “How agentic AI is helping non-profits thrive in difficult economic times,” talks to Pacific Clinics’ SVP of Emerging and Statewide Services Jacquelyn H. Torres, on how the organization is using AI and how it’s increasing capacity.

The goal is to inform and enroll current and potential clients of Enhanced Care Management (ECM), a free Medi-Cal benefit, with a limited workforce and capacity. Jacquelyn says, “Our job is to go and let people know they qualify, offer them the service, and enroll them. It’s high volume and high need, and we’d been doing everything we could, but we just didn’t have the workforce to reach out to tens of thousands of people. So, that was one of the catalysts for us to explore this use case. We have over 25,000 referrals on hand at any moment, and the health plans have tens of thousands more behind them. So, it was really about capacity.”

Additionally, she adds that agentic AI is closing the gap in clients’ readiness and access to care.
