On Saturday, October 30, around 100 guests safely gathered at our historic Hollygrove campus for our first in-person event in over 18 months—a movie night under the stars!

Our guests were invited to grab their families and a blanket and join us for a night of pre-Halloween fun, with 100% of the proceeds supporting our private-funded Hollygrove programs. As usual, our supporters went above and beyond, helping us raise more than $25,000 to enhance community wellness for vulnerable families in our Los Angeles community.

The main event was a screening of the spooktacular movie “Hotel Transylvania“, and guests enjoyed a delicious dinner courtesy of Bludso’s BBQ, but the fun didn’t end there. Kicking off the Halloween weekend, guests were encouraged to dress up in festive costumes and prizes, courtesy of Young Variety, were given to four lucky winners. In addition, children and guests were treated to games by the AMAZING KID COMPANY and arts and crafts that included a pumpkin decorating station. There was also an opportunity drawing featuring gift baskets, a children’s bike, a Rothy’s bag, and more.

No event at the Hollygrove campus would be complete without the support of long-time partner and actor Ike Barinholtz, who got the crowd ready for the movie with a bit of humor and gratitude for all those who have continued to support Uplift Family Services throughout the past year.

Many thanks to The A List, Paramount Television Studios, and Beverly Hills Bike Shop for supporting our event. Thanks also to One Incredible Family for the mystery treat bags filled with Halloween delights, as well as our amazing sponsors. We could not do this without your commitment and generosity!

Finally, thank you to our volunteers from the National Charity League, members of our Los Angeles region’s Board of Governors, and everyone else who helped make the event fun, safe, and festive for all.
