Rachel Riphagen, PsyD, wraparound services director, joined Assemblymember James Ramos on his podcast, “Empowering California,” a space where he brings together experts from various fields to provide actionable knowledge and foster a deeper understanding of state-wide challenges. Together, they addressed mental health awareness, including misconceptions, such as the belief that children are unaffected by mental health issues, the ongoing research and understanding of mental health diagnoses and the persistent challenge of stigma. 

Reflecting on her mission, Rachel said, “I hope for a world where people see each other fully—the challenges, strengths and resilience.”
