River Tree Volunteers hosted another successful two-day canoe trip down the San Joaquin River for kids in our Central Region programs. As volunteers helped youth and staff to canoe down the river, they also taught about different organisms living above and below the water. Kids were able to assist volunteers in picking trash and tires from the river and they learned the importance of keeping the river clean. Thanks to the River Tree Volunteers for teaching kids about the environment around them and for making their summer a bright one to remember!
