The Butter Paddle gift store in Los Gatos, run by the EMQ Auxiliary, will once again host a holiday sneak peek and open house, with seasonal treats, beautiful gifts for purchase and a free drawing for a 2026 Annieglass collector plate.
- Holiday Sneak Peek – October 21, 2026 | 9–11 a.m. | An invite-only event for newsletter and social media subscribers (subscribe to their newsletter on their website or follow them on Facebook and/or Instagram), who will enjoy exclusive early access to holiday merchandise before it’s released to the public. Attendees may also enter to win a “Home for the Holidays” gift basket with their purchase of $25 or more.
- Holiday Open House – October 24, 2026 | 11 a.m.–5 p.m. | Free gift for the first 20 shoppers, seasonal treats and hourly drawings. Customers who make a $15+ donation to Pacific Clinics’ Neurodevelopmental Services will be entered into a free drawing to win a 2026 Annieglass collector plate (retail$105):

A Legacy of Giving
The Butter Paddle’s story began in 1967 in Saratoga as the county’s first kitchen store. In 2010, the EMQ Auxiliary board voted to move the store to downtown Los Gatos, where it remains a go-to destination for home decor, serveware, jewelry, baby gifts and gourmet foods, all while keeping its heart focused on giving back.
Today, proceeds from The Butter Paddle help fund numerous Pacific Clinics programs, including the Hope Drop-In Center, Family Resource Centers, Neurodevelopmental Services, Foster Care and Adoption Services and the Wellspring fund, which helps families with emergency items such as food, blankets, clothing, diapers and supplies for hygiene and school.
“The Butter Paddle and EMQ Auxiliary have a long history of turning generosity into meaningful support for children and families,” said Senior Fund Development Director Darren DeMonsi. “Through their fundraising and countless volunteer hours, they help strengthen the programs and services that children and families in this community rely on.”
