Under a full moon on the Paramount Pictures lot, Pacific Clinics supporters, community partners and friends gathered for the annual Under the Stars gala, raising $575,000 to support the next chapter of the historic Hollygrove campus.
ABC7 Eyewitness News anchor David Ono emceed the evening, which celebrated longtime supporters of Pacific Clinics and shared a vision for Hollygrove’s future as a community hub where children and families can find mental health, parenting and youth development services in one place.
Emmy-nominated actor Ike Barinholtz received the evening’s Champion of Mental Health Award in recognition of his volunteer work and commitment to Hollygrove.
“What my wife and I found at Hollygrove was so much more than just an opportunity to give back. We found a community of people who show up every day for children and families who need support, who believe in their potential and who are working to create brighter futures,” Ike said. “I’m proud to be even a small part of that community, and I’m grateful to everyone who makes this work possible.”
Entertainer Paula Abdul also joined the celebration to present Pacific Clinics Board members Jana Turner and Neal Dempsey with Norma Jeane Awards recognizing their years of service to the organization. Past honorees have included Actress Jenifer Lewis, WNBA Champion Chamique Holdsclaw and Actor Clark Gregg.
Guests enjoyed live music from The Jazz Cartel and a performance by Le Petit Cirque, an award-winning youth cirque company.
Building Hollygrove’s Next Chapter
The celebration came as Pacific Clinics looks toward an ambitious future for Hollygrove and the children and families it serves.
“We envision Hollygrove as a place where families can find support across multiple generations. A place where anyone of any age can receive the care they need, all at one time and all in one place,” said Pacific Clinics Chief Executive Officer Kathy McCarthy. “It is a vision centered on the whole family and designed to make care more connected, accessible and responsive to the people we serve.”
Today, Pacific Clinics serves more than 16,000 children, adults and families throughout Greater Los Angeles each year. Funds raised through Under the Stars will help support the mental health, parenting and youth development programs available through Hollygrove and advance the vision for its future.
“What a special evening bringing the community together to help make an ambitious vision like the next century of Hollygrove into reality,” said Chief Development Officer Mary Anne Chern.
