Under the twinkling lights at our Hollygrove campus’ therapy garden, 50 guests welcomed the arrival of spring on with an evening of culinary delight.
On KPCC’s most recent segment of “Take Two,” Dr. Chris Leucht, program director, was interested about tips to prepare children returning to school. At the 28:25 marker, the segment opens with one of Dr. Leucht’s tips for caregivers to check in with their own feelings as children are looking to them on how to feel and react. Additionally, Dr. Leucht recommends taking school tours saying, “the more familiarity kids have with what’s going to happen and where, the better.”
In the LAist article, “Preparing To Go Back To Preschool In A Pandemic: ‘Fun, But In A Different Way,'” Dr. Chris Leucht, program director, offers tips on helping children ages 0 to 5 get ready to return to school. “The first thing would be for parents to check in on their own feelings, and try and manage those so that they can be there for their kids,” Leucht says.
