ARCADIA, Calif. (September 3, 2021) – Pacific Clinics, Southern California’s leading community-based behavioral and mental health organization, hosted a classical music concert featuring talented young musician siblings Sarah Kave and Joshua Kave, and guest performer Albert Zhang. The virtual fundraising concert was held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 28, 2021.
The virtual concert was attended by Pacific Clinics supporters, classical music enthusiasts and mental health advocates. Pacific Clinics’ CEO Jim Balla kicked off the event with opening remarks explaining that contributions will support the purchase of sensory kits for young children who feel anxious during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The musicians performed works by well-known composers such as Bach, Schubert and Mendelssohn.
“Sarah, Joshua and Albert are extremely talented and we’re grateful that they wanted to host a classical music concert benefitting the people who Pacific Clinics serves,” said Jennifer D’Alvarez, vice president of advancement at Pacific Clinics.

About Sarah Kave
Sarah Kave is a rising senior at North Hollywood Highly Gifted Magnet High School. She began playing the cello at age 5 and as part of her training, Sarah spent two years at the Colburn Music Academy. Sarah performed on National Public Radio’s “From the Top” in 2019. As a soloist, Sarah has also performed in Carnegie Hall, BP Hall at the Walt Disney Concert Hall, and the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts. This year Sarah was the Grand Prize winner in the CalASTA Los Angeles Bowed Strings Competition. Sarah believes it is incredibly rewarding to give back to her community and is thrilled to participate in her second charitable fundraising concert.
About Joshua Kave
Joshua Kave is a rising senior at North Hollywood Highly Gifted Magnet High School. He started playing the violin at age 5 and later the viola. His recent accomplishments including winning the Mount Saint Mary University High School Ensembles Competition, and getting accepted to the National Youth Orchestra 2, sponsored by Carnegie Hall. He also played at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Joshua has been involved in performing for the community for many years, including senior homes. He is very excited about his second fundraising event.
About Albert Zhang
Albert Zhang is a recent graduate from North Hollywood Highly Gifted Magnet High School. He started playing the piano at age 5 and the trumpet at age 9. He has played in various solo, concert band, jazz band, and jazz combo settings, including many performances in the community at senior homes and homeless shelters. Albert was a gold medalist twice at the International Biology Olympiad. He plans to attend Stanford University in the fall majoring in biology.
