Support Services offer various programs to address social determinants of health, including housing and employment coaching and placement, among other critically needed services.
REI offers you a variety of educational tracks to achieve your education, career and personal growth goals. Courses are available in English and Spanish.
REI partners with Santiago Canyon College, so students are dually enrolled at both schools. Several general education (GEs) classes are transferable for an associate degree, such as Philosophy, Introduction to Lifespan Psychology and Music Appreciation.
Through our partnership with Saddleback College, students complete their credentials at REI and are dually enrolled at both schools. Through this program, we offer the following certificates: Mental Health Worker (29 units) and Alcohol and Drug Studies (37 units).
An 80-hour training program will equip graduates with lived experience to find employment in the mental health services field in a peer mentor support capacity. Our on-site employment specialist will work with students to assist with the employment process during and upon completion of the training.
We offer Study Skills workshops focused on English, history, math and science to help students pass the GED exam.
These courses help improve students’ English language skills and enable them to maximize their potential by reaching their personal, educational and vocational objectives. Introductory, intermediate and conversational classes are offered.
Art, creative writing, card making, vision board and other classes are offered to explore creative outlets for wellness.
Computer, job skills and workplace courses are provided to help students succeed once they enter the workforce or in their current jobs.
Workshops and classes are available to help students cope with mental health challenges, improve life skills, build healthy relationships and find additional resources in the community.
Students can join Student Government and develop leadership skills by helping organize on-campus events, and participate in leadership workshops.
